With a rich history in film dating back to the 90’s, the twenty-first century has thrust Romania to the forefront of international motion picture production. Producers from around the globe have brought their projects to Romania because of the wide variety of available locations, low-cost, high-quality set construction and, experienced, reliable crews and talent.
For 32 years here, at Castel Film Studios, we have made films for audiences around the world to enjoy. As a service provider we have already generated over 350 international feature films, more than 1000 hours of foreign and domestic television content, more than 800 commercials,

Our History
Castel Film's history dates back in 1990. Built from bare ground, these studios were the pioneers of Romania's new cinematography and became the leader of the industry.
Our Facilities
Castel Film has 9 modern fully equipped sound-stages, one of the largest sound-stage in Continental Europe, 37 hectares back-lot, including 15 hectares of forest, available for set construction and direct access to a large lake.
Our Services
Castel Film Studios presents a complete range of production services, highly skilled labor force, competitive set construction rates, comprehensive hospitality services that include catering and craft for more then 600 people daily.
Our Productions
From 1990 to 2016, Castel Film released over 160 feature films for theatrical, TV, home video releases and docudramas and documentaries.
